Investors in Careers
Following last year when Hartlepool Adult Education became the first service of its kind in the Country to secure the highly prestigious Investors in Volunteering Award we are extremely proud to follow this up with some wonderful news. In February 2017, after an external review of the Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) service we have received the Investors in Careers Award.
Hartlepool Adult Education is again the first service of its kind in the Country to secure the Investors in Careers Award. Investor in Careers Awarding Body states that this is a quality standard for the management of careers education, information, advice and guidance and is now the most widely used quality award of its kind recognised nationally across the country. All our Investor in Careers Award holders have demonstrated a commitment to provide impartial, independent careers education, information, advice and guidance to all young people. This really is one of the highest accolades an organisation can receive for excellence in this area of work and is definitely something the award holder can be very proud of. The IiC standard is about improving students’ awareness of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential. In addition to the benefits to students, many schools find IiC to be of enormous help in providing evidence for Ofsted inspections.
